T4RC : nop
RCMR : The DLE20 weighs about the same as a Saito 125 -- so its nice and light -- not like those HK 26cc engines
RCMR : Its also got a rear reed-valve induction so its got good power. Those side-port gasers are crap
RCMR : Well Im off to hit the hay. Nite nite!

Just looked at the plans for this.. I think im going to make an Yak55 inspired SU26

36" WS, 3 layers of 6mm EPP fuse, with the parkflyers.org.nz trade mark "speed holes" in the centre fuse, Symetrical KF step 6mm EPP (3 layers of 6) wing. Same layout as the Yak, but SU26'd. Whatya rekon?

Why not. Got a 3 view?

As much as fatties rule.. Maybe profiles have there place.. Getting bashed into stuff!

They are also so easy to design, the full fuse su26 is giving me headaches... As long as we can keep the general layout the same as the 55 I cant see how it would fly much different.

Yeah it is the main reason I stuck with profiles to start with. First full fuse plane I am going to do will be the slope machine.

However first powered one I aim to make a full fuse of is the Spitfire.

Time is never on my side so profiles suite me perfectly for now.

Thanks Brett cool links and drawings, I like my Gene Bond Yak 54, that Troy now has.

I just cant get excited about the 55, I dont know why.

Jacko, hopefully we can base the fuse on genes design, but do your/rob's tripple layer fuse

Right the EPP and carbon has been ordered for these kits.

I did some test cuts on EPP yesterday and it all looks good.

They have all been g-coded up and shall soon be ready. Organising a powersystem and I will bring one along to the Tu Puru indoor event.
