The 'foil is top secret! Nah, it's taken from the Sharks 'foil, and "tweaked" a little bit.

Basically it's some NACA symmetrical (M3-ish), I added an ever so tiny amount of reflex, and it's sharper at the business end :) Something like 11% I think, so not very thin, but then again the Shark got to 85% pitch speed on the same basic 'foil.

I'm gagging to get my motor and batteries, I want to do some testing with the new turnigy tach.

Luckily the neighbor is a retired guy who is half deaf! I'm sure it will be evil loud.

Did another flight this morning on 3s, thought I'd learn the airframe a bit more.

My CAM speed 6x6 lasted 1 second, the launcher muffed it and it landed with power on (I was unsighted momentarily). So I switched to the 6x5.5 and spent 10 minutes putting her through her paces. No bad habits! Loops, rolls, very gentle.

The landing was quite exciting, I brought her in, but a fence came looming up too close, my spotter shouting FENCE, FENCE! I pull up and nail the throttle, only to be met with a quitting battery, and looming power pylons (the big ones). She only JUST crawled over them, I gently turned her around and somehow managed to land undamaged downwind. Jeez, what a drama!

With Watts Up stocking CAM props soon, I'll be able to get a load more locally!

HK just updated my old ESC order details with this message:

Quote:
According to our warranty policy cutting open a product voids the warranty.

All I did was remove the heat shrink from the ESC!!!! I can understand if you took apart a servo or TX or the likes, but removing heat shrink from an ESC?

Guess there is no point in arguing, if I want a $30 100A ESC then I'm gonna have to buy another one off them....
