T4RC : nop
RCMR : The DLE20 weighs about the same as a Saito 125 -- so its nice and light -- not like those HK 26cc engines
RCMR : Its also got a rear reed-valve induction so its got good power. Those side-port gasers are crap
RCMR : Well Im off to hit the hay. Nite nite!
SargeNZ : evening jacko

I reckon Isn't it bad to do a bit of both? I love gliding, it is a far better fell of flying and improved my skill, but powered flight is extremely fun as well!!! I love the speed that you can get out of both. Like for gliding it is a soundless floutly speed, but powered speed is a great buzzing insane loud noise that comes flying past your head!!! ha ha.

lol, dont get me wrong as I've recently got myself a slopie to try on, very curious and amazed that they actually are the fastest plane on record as far as I know of.

What I'm trying to say is, I dont think a glider/slopie flyer fly better at motorised nor do I think a motorised flyer fly better than a slope flyer or even a heli and plane comparison, none is better than the other. They are all just different. So it's a matter of preference as I've said in the very begining and on the second as well. :)

A few more 20+ minute DLG flights at Tokoroa today -- meanwhile, the electric glider used up all his battery while I was still soaring from a single launch.

Note to self: must mix more glider-fuel.

I think the Main reason why Gliding is great to learn on is they are indestructible and they take ages to run out of battery so you can keep flying to get more experience even if they are short flights.
