Just putting this up for sale in the for sale section - hooked on helis and have to make some space

Hey Cameron - is yours still for sale? If so, how much are you after? A friend of mine is interested in getting one and I will let him know if yours is still available.

Thanks Bingo.

Fantastic achievement and I am sure it will be a very entertaining flier once he gets comfortable with it. Needs to spend part of the jet budget on a professional videographer

Unfortunately he is not allowed to fly at any jet meets as the X-8 does not have a rudder

Daryl, you have and have flown the x8 wing havent you? If so what is it like to fly and how stable is it, is it a good platform for camera work etc, cheers

Hi Merlin, I would have to say, after my F3B Cobra, the X-8 is my favourite model to fly. Mine is not exactly stock - LOL.

But the mods probably don't effect the performance much. It flies like it is on rails and is a very steady camera platform, but most of the FPV guys use flight stabilisation gear as a matter of course. It has a huge weight carrying capacity and spacious cargo bay so gear installation is pretty straight forward. There are a couple of vids of my X-8 flying earlier in this thread.

This is one of my favourite FPV vids:

There is a large thread on RCG here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1555543

... and several of the guys on here can help you out with FPV questions.

You are very welcome Merlin.

Sing out on here if you go ahead with the purchase.

LOL just catching up on the RCG X-8 thread and saw this

All 3 motors move 90 deg... 8 ch solid state switch for forward flight or hover. Looking forward to a full flight vid.

My how time flies - a few years under the bridge since the last activity here.

Well, despite my best efforts to destroy her with ridge soaring adventures and bad landings (and takeoffs) the B&V is still going strong and I shot a parkflying vid a couple of weekends ago.
