Hoping there is a ducted Fan expert out there who can assist. I have a scratch build A7 Corsair with a WeMotec 68 mm fan . HET Typhoon 2W on a four cell 50-130C rating. Its well mannered but a bit underpowered. Cheater holes and chin intake area are in excess of the fan swept area. Exit dia is 90% of the FSW. It weighs about 1000gms sans battery, span 900mm. Only thing I can think of is going to a 5 cell (weight and bulk could be a challenge) or trying to put it on a diet.

Another cell would liven things up for sure. But what about your esc - how much current are you pulling on 4 cells?

Thanks Dup, I would have to check again but it is an 80 amp esc and from memory there was plenty of headroom for more amps. This could be good be useful if I have to go to a 5 cell. I think I will play with the area of the exhaust and maybe the cheater hole area. If that does not offer a fix then a "Bolt" battery may help, I have heard good things in terms of them sprucing up performance. Also I can look to remove some weight , perhaps a combination of things.
